Arthur Lee “Art” Rickert, 72, of Transfer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 13th, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.  
Art was born on March 17th, 1945 to Harold E. and Inis E. (Ewing) Rickert in Tallahassee, FL. Art worked for 34 years at Damascus Tube as a millwright until its closing and Winner Steel until his retirement. He also owned and operated A.L. Rickert Excavating. On September 16th, 1964 he married his wife, Shirley A. (McCullough) Rickert, who survives at home. Art loved watching and following his grandsons football games and wrestling matches.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife Shirley A. Rickert, daughter, Shelley (Shannon) Brightbill of KY, son, William “Bill” (Paula) Rickert of Transfer, granddaughter, Morgan Brightbill, 3 grandsons, Logan Rickert, Cole Rickert, Connor Brightbill, and sister in law, Beverly “Becky” McCullough of Transfer.
He was preceded in death by father, Harold E. Rickert, mother, Inis E. Rickert, and brother Paul E. Rickert.
Friends may call Friday, February 16th, 2018, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm also, Saturday February 17th, 2018 from 10 am to 11 am at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA 16150.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17th, 2018, 11:00 am in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA.
Burial will take place in Rickert Church Cemetery.

Shirley & Family,
Alice & I are so sorry for your loss.
I will always remember the first time Art got on the school bus in first grade. His legs were so short he could barely make the 1st. step!!! Seems like it was just yesterday.
We are still in Florida until April, but our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Art was a great guy he will be missed by all. My sympathy to Shirley, Shelly& Billy. Memories last forever.
