Mrs. Lois M. Osborne - Rice Taylor, 77, of New Castle, passed away at 9:12am, Wednesday, October 26th, 2011 in Silver Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Mrs. Rice Taylor was born in Clark, PA on November 20, 1933, the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Dessie May (Slater) Osborne.

Lois was a Hickory High School Graduate and of Pentecostal Faith.

She worked as an Office Manager at Nottingham’s Heating in Sharon, PA and was an avid bowler, enjoyed reading, cooking and collecting recipes. She also enjoyed jig saw puzzles, playing bingo and cards with family.

She was the widow of Leroy G. Rice Taylor. Married on Dec 17, 1951, married second time on September 27, 1976, who passed away Feb. 10, 1992.

Surviving is her daughter Darlene A. McCloskey and her husband Donald of Fredonia, and her son Clarence L. Rice and his wife Sherry of New Castle, PA, sisters Sarah Albertson of Denver, Colo, and Geraldine Hoffman of Norfolk, VA.

She is also survived by four grandchildren: Kathleen Smith, Joseph McCloskey, Rachael L. Rice, Brian Rice, four great grandchildren Kristen Smith, Brittany Smith, Chasity McCloskey and Zachary McCloskey and one great great grandson Carter Smith.

Proceeded in death by: parents, husband, sisters Ruth Chismon and Jean Hitchcock, and brothers Dale Osborne, and Glen Osborne.

Calling hours will be held on Friday November 4, 2011 from 5-8pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, 124 Main Street, Sharpsville, PA.

Memorial Service will be held at Life Changing Ministries, 711 Ray Street, New Castle, at 11:00am on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 with Rev. Bill Rupert officiating.

Interment following cremation at Clark Citizens Cemetery Clark, PA.
