Larry E. Raymer, 69, of 108 18th St. Sharpsville, passed away on January 9, 2012 at 11:58 am in the Sharon Regional Health System Sharon, PA following a brief illness.  

He was born on June 21, 1942 to Sherwood E. and Ethel M. (Allshouse) Raymer in Manor Twp., PA. He graduated from Ford City High School. Larry worked at National Castings and as a Mold Finisher at Shenango Inc. for 18 years until his retirement in 2002. On August 31, 1969 he married his wife Connie J. Forney who survives at home.
  
Larry was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sharon. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a Life member of: BPOE #203 Kittanning PA, VFW Post #7599 Reynolds PA, Fraternal Order of Eagles #896 Kittanning PA; Member of Sharon American Legion Post 299, Sharpsville VFW Post 6404, PA Fire Police Association, Sharpsville Volunteer Fire Department, also the Sharpsville Zoning Code of Appeals Board.

He enjoyed his camp in Reynoldsville, watching the Pitt Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, his dog Reggie, but most of all singing karaoke and dancing to Alabama.

Larry is survived by his loving spouse Connie, son - Sherwood B. "Woody" Raymer Sharpsville, PA and his Fiancé Jodi Rosenau of Transfer, PA; sister - Betty Windsor of Jeromesville, OH; mother in law - Wilma Schwartz of Kittanning, PA; and several nieces & nephews.
  
He was preceded in death by father, Sherwood E. Raymer, mother, Ethel M. (Allshouse) Raymer, and father in law William Fourney.
  
Friends May Call Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
    
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012, 11:00 am at the St. John's Episcopal Church, Sharon, PA, with Father Adam Trambley officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.

It''s been many years since we have seen each other, but I want to express my most heartfelt condolences to you both at the loss of Larry. At a time like this, words seem quite inadequate. Please know that you are in my prayers for God to give you the strength to get through this difficult time.
