Thomas K. "Doc" Holliday, 66, of Greenville, passed away peacefully 6:30 pm on Thursday September 25th, 2014 at his home in Greenville, PA.
Thomas was born on January 8, 1948 to Donald and Bertha Eizetta (Mortimer) Holliday in Rimersburg, PA. He graduated from Mercer High School. Thomas was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Truck Driver for Youngblood Paving. On September 4, 1971 he married his wife Linda Geiwitz who survives at home.
He was a member of the Sharpsville Church of the Nazarene. Thomas liked dirt track racing and was a member of the Turn 4 Gang who sponsored dirt track driver Guy Griffin. He also enjoyed hunting and camping in Marienville, PA.
Thomas is survived by his loving spouse Linda, daughter - Wendy (Shane) Setting of Vienna, OH; son - Thomas P. (Emily) Holliday of Greenville, PA; mother in law - Lois Geiwitz of Sharpsville, PA; 2 brothers - Deroy (Robin) Holliday of New Castle, PA, James Holliday of Rimersburg, PA; sister in law - Lorraine (John) Gee of Masury, OH; brother in law - Larry (Kate) Geiwitz of Transfer, PA; 5 Grandchildren - Alexis, Austin, Ashleigh, Lola, and Joey. Also surviving are 3 nephews, 1 niece, 3 great nephews, 2 great nieces, and former son in law Fred Pistorious. Doc also leaves behind his “other brother” Ed Hoagland.
He was preceded in death by father, Donald Holliday, mother, Eizetta Holliday, father in law, Leon Geiwitz, and an infant niece.
Friends may call Sunday September 28th, 2014 from 2 pm to 6 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held Monday September 29th, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Dailey of Beth Emmanuel Fellowship, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Glenwood Cemetery Clark, PA with full military honors offered by West Middlesex VFW, Farrell VFW, and Wheatland American Legion.
