Robert Paul Sump, 73 of Greenville, passed away peacefully Monday September 29th, 2025 in his home.
Robert was born February 19th, 1952 to Eloise Ruth (Morrison) and Paul Ray Sump in Greenville, PA. He was a graduate of Sharpsville High School class of 1970 and completed his apprenticeship as a Meat Cutter. Robert was owner and operator of Gateway Farm Freezer Meats in Greenville, PA. He loved his work and spent 55 years of his life doing it. He also enjoyed playing racquetball at the Buhl Club, farming his land, hunting, watching NASCAR, football, baseball, and basketball, spending time outdoors, eating ice cream, and being with his family.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda (Brian) Garbus, grandson, Cooper Garbus, sister, Thelma Achenbach, brother in law and lifelong best friend, Jerry (Colette) Miodrag, nieces and nephews, Brian Sump, Tina (Jeff) Desalvo, Anna Achenbach, Adam (Nicola) Achenbach, former wife, Pamela Sump, former wife, Dorothy Sump, daughter, Katelyn Sump, and cherished family friend Joann Esenwein, who was like a daughter to him.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother Kenneth (Mary) Sump.
Friends may call Monday October 6th, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home 124 W. Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held Monday October 6th, 2025 at 5:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Tim Morrison officiating.
Burial will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
