Robert was born November 20th, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY. Robert was a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps during the Occupation of Japan and China from 1944 through 1946 where he attained the rank Corporal. He served as a combat correspondent and worked as News Representative for Dodge Reports (F.W. Dodge Corporation) in New York City, NY.

He resided most of his life in California with his late wife Rosamond (Collins) who preceded him in death. In 2004 he moved to Pennsylvania to help his friend and remained in Pennsylvania for the rest of his life. While living in California Bob enjoyed playing chess with his buddies on the Pacific Beaches. He loved politics, reading, and was a very intelligent individual.

Bob is survived by a granddaughter Christine White who lives on the West Coast.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rosamond, son George and his wife Sandy Coxon, and a special friend Irene Scrivens.

Mr. Coxon was a compassionate and caring individual who was always going out of his way to help anyone in need. Per Mr. Robert Coxon’s request there will be no calling hours. Following cremation, a private service will be held with burial at Millbank Cemetery in Fredonia, PA.
