Regina Miess Obituary
Regina Miess, 88, of Valley View Rd. Sharpsville, passed away 5:55 am on December 9, 2013 following a brief illness, with her family at her side.
Regina was born on February 7, 1925 to George and Katharina (Guni) Orr in Rode, Romania. On April 25th, 1946 she married the late John Miess Sr. who passed away April 15th, 1997. Mrs. Miess and her husband proudly owned and operated the former Macedonia Bakery on Spearman Avenue in Farrell for 35 years. They operated the family owned bakery from 1956 until their retirement in 1991.
She was a member of Clark Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Saxon Club in Farrell, PA. Regina enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, numerous times, with her husband. She loved cooking shows, reading, dining out with her daughter Gina, watching NASCAR, was an avid Steelers fan, and most of all cherished time spent with her family. She loved when her grandchildren would visit her.
Regina is survived by her daughter - Regina "Gina" (Charles) Shook of Sharpsville, PA; and sister - Sarah (George) Alzner of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by father, George Orr, mother, Katharina Orr, husband, John Miess Sr., son, John Miess Jr., sister, Katharine Kramer, and brother, George Orr.
She will be sadly missed by her family.

Visitation will be held Thursday December 12th, 2013 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 12th, 2013 at 1 pm, in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home with Rev. William Locke of Clark Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.
