Raymond Earl Lozier, 86, of Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly following a fall at home, on September 7th, 2018 at UPMC Shenango Valley Farrell, PA.
Ray was born on December 28th, 1931 to Ezra and Martha (Hilke) Lozier in Sharon, PA. After graduating high school, Ray served in the US Army. He received his engineering degree from Youngstown State University. Raymond worked as a field engineer for Sharon Steel. On September 3rd, 2005 he married his wife Suzanne (Tomko) Lozier, who survives at home.
He was a member of IHS Gospel Ministries in Hermitage, PA. Ray was also a member of the Sharpsville VFW Post 6404. He loved to read and also was an avid writer, working on his own book. He enjoyed playing solitaire, euchre, and was a member of the Sharon Tube Retirees Euchre Club. Most important to Ray was spending time with his family and telling them stories of the good old days.
Raymond is survived by his wife Suzanne Lozier, daughters, Megan (Mike) Ayers of Atlanta, GA, Mavis Lozier of Sharpsville, PA, Lori Lozier of Atlanta, GA, Gillian Currin of Atlanta, GA, grandchildren, Meia Lozier, Riley Ayers, Julienne Ayers, Talya Currin, Treyton Currin, and Zade Currin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife of 44 years, Betty (Ezzo) Lozier, brother, Blaine Rummel, sister, Dot Thompson, Mary Hewitt, brother, Gilbert Lozier, Donald Lozier, and son in law Lane Currin.
Friends may call Thursday, September 13th, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm & Friday, September 14th, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14th, 2018, 11:00 am in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Sharpsville, PA, with Rev. Charles Eckles, officiating.
