Pamela Young Obituary

Pamela Sue (Huff) Young left this world peacefully on November 11, 2025. Her last moments
were spent surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on July 6, 1957, entering the world in a hurry and displaying her firecracker
personality right from the start. Preceded in death by her parents Bobby Gene and Betty Lou
(Fontana) Huff. They nurtured her inner strength and encouraged her to be her best. She
graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1975 and went onto a career as a florist at Palo’s. She
then moved onto work at Sharon Steel Credit Union where she met her husband Michael R
Young during a heated debate over a car deal. The pair instantly hit it off and were wed October
12, 1985 during a random road trip to Kentucky. Together they enjoyed 40 years of traveling,
dancing, spending time with family and frequently bickering in the most hysterical and loving
manner. Eventually she went back to the floral industry working for a time at Jerome’s in
Greenville and then back into the credit union world to retired from a long career at Pennstar
Federal Credit Union where she was playfully referred to as “the short Pam”.
Pam is survived by her husband Mike as well as her two children Bj Chrestay and Shawn
(Belinda) Adams. There are not enough words to describe the wonderful mother that she was.
She was their rock offering support and encouragement through everything. She was the first
call for all the celebrations and milestones as well as all the heartaches of life to not only her
children but the many nieces and nephews that adored their Aunt Pam.
For the last three decades though, the highlight of her life was in being a Nana. She leaves
behind 9 grandchildren: Mela (Brett) Verzi, Grayden (Marron) Sabol, Lydia (Justin) Droginski,
Griffin Sabol, Jasabella Chrestay, Lucio Chrestay, Tulia Chrestay, Tristan Adams, and Macario
Chrestay as well as two great grandchildren Theodore Droginksi and Maverick Droginski. Not
only was she Nana to them but also to all their friends and classmates. She loved nothing more
than driving them around and listening to their chatter. She never missed an event for one of
them if she could help it and hosted countless pool parties and gatherings for them in her
home. Winter movie nights with Nana were a staple and filled with laughter. Summer days
were filled with driving the little ones around on the tractor and working in her flower beds.
To know her was to know endless love and boundless generosity. She was a blessing to anyone
who had the pleasure of crossing her path and will live on in so many wonderful memories.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday November 30th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Tam-o-Shanter 2961
S. Hermitage Rd. Hermitage PA.
