Accomplished Crafter, Exceptional Cook
Nancy S. Freddo, 85, of Sharpsville, passed away following a brief illness 7:11 pm on January 12, 2013 in Sharon Regional Health System Sharon, PA.
Nancy was born on March 25, 1927 to Joseph and Filamena (DiPaolo) Reno in Sharpsville, PA. She attended Sharpsville schools. Nancy was a homemaker. On February 14, 1949 she married the late Raymond E. Freddo who passed away September 25th, 2003.
Nancy was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church. She participated in Girl Scouts when her children were young. She was an exceptional crafter who made baby afghans for local nurseries. She also enjoyed puzzles, cooking, baking cookies, gardening, Nancys garden included flowers and vegetables. Nancy gifted all of her crafts and her cooking was given to missions and charities. Nancy cared for her husband for many years before and up to his death.
Nancy is survived by her 2 daughters - Judy (John) Valentine of West Middlesex, PA, Pam (Bill) Hauger of Hermitage, PA; son - Raymond A. Freddo of Pittsburgh, PA; sister - Rose Doerr of Fairfield, CA; brother - Anthony Reno of Hermitage, PA; 5 Grandchildren - Beth Esarco, Melanie Broadwater, Matthew Hauger, Raymond Freddo, and Max Freddo also surviving are 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by father, Joseph Reno, mother, Filamena Reno, husband, Raymond E. Freddo, sister, Madeline Bukovinsky, brother, Raymond Reno, daughter in law, Sally Freddo, an infant brother, and grandson.
Friends may call will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 10:30 am at the St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, with Father Jeffery Noble, of Notre Dame, officiating.
Burial will take place in the St. Rose Cemetery.
