Mary Ann Bryan, 73, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.
Mary Ann was born on September 29th, 1944 to Howard and Florence (Ague) Young in Sharon, PA. She graduated in 1962 from Sharpsville High School and received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Edinboro University in 1966. Mary Ann taught for the Sharpsville Area School District, Dundalk Elementary School in Baltimore, MD, Rosewood Elementary in Augusta, GA, Sharon Christian Academy, and Warren Christian School in Warren, OH. On August 19th, 1966, she married her high school sweetheart, Jeffrey P. Bryan, who survives at home.
She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in New Wilmington. She was also a former member of Sharpsville United Methodist Church, and Lakeside E.C. Church. Mary Ann actively served as a Sunday School teacher and various children’s ministries within the church. She also played the piano for worship services.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband, Jeff, son, Curtis Young (Annie) Bryan, daughter, Julie Ann (Todd) Meyer, grandchildren, Brandon Bryan, Alex Bryan, Michaela “Emmy” Bryan, Sarah Meyer, Lindsey Meyer, step grandchildren, Alexis Northrop, Isaac Northrop, and dear cousin Sue (Tom) Scott.
She was preceded in death by father, Howard L. Young and mother, Florence L. Young.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hope Center for Cancer Care, Heartland Hospice (Amanda, Brittany, and Randy), Golden Caregivers (Cathy, Casey, and Shelby), and Sharon Regional ICU staff.

Friends may call Monday, October 1st, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm & Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at New Life Baptist Church 3414 State Route 208 New Wilmington, PA 16142.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018, 11:00 am in New Life Baptist Church, New Wilmington, PA.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
