Mary Waltz Obituary

Mary Jane Waltz, 71, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 13th, 2016 at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.  
  
Jane was born on July 23rd, 1945 to Al and Mary Jane (Foster) Stuart in Sharon, PA. Jane was a partner for Mourice G. Waltz Planners & Consultants. She started as office manager in 1986. Jane also administered housing rehabilitation with federal funds in 12 municipalities in Lawrence and Mercer counties. She was certified IDIS administrator for federal funds disbursement and reporting. On December 14th, 1974 she married Mourice G. Waltz, who survives at home.

She was of Methodist faith, which she passed on to her family, and a member of the Orangeville United Methodist Church. She was also employed by the Orangeville United Methodist Church as secretary where she was responsible for certificates, training, and counseling administration. She also served as communion steward for at least 50 years. Jane enjoyed candles, knitting socks as gifts, cooking, singing, dancing, reading to Papa with her grandchildren, and entertaining her friends and family. She liked gardening and tending to her flowers. She was known to plan parties and celebrations for every holiday where she gave gifts and pampered her guests.
  
Jane is survived by her loving husband Mourice, 3 daughters, Tracy (Ken) Robertson, Mourine (Ken) Rodgers, Heather Waltz, 2 sons, David (Susan) Waltz, Daniel (Christine) Waltz, brother Albert Stuart, 6 granddaughters, Kelsey (Nick) Schnur, Maggie Robertson, Dusty Waltz, Kendall Rodgers, Madelynn Smith, 6 grandsons, Kaleb Robertson and his fiancé Chandli Hasenplug, Allen Waltz, Jason Waltz, Daniel Deutsch, Reece Rodgers, and Ethan Smith.
  
She was preceded in death by father, Al Stuart, mother, Mary Jane Stuart, sister, Lynn Waltz, granddaughter, Melissa Deutsch, and sister in law, Sheila Stuart.
    
A celebration of Jane’s life will be held on Saturday, December 17th, 2016, 2:00 pm at the Orangeville United Methodist Church, with Pastor Gordon Ferguson, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Orangeville Cemetery at a later date.
