Mary Ann Peto, 91, of Hermitage, passed away on Sunday October 22nd, 2017 at Nugent Convalescent Home in Hermitage, PA.
Mary was born on September 4th, 1926 to Joseph and Sylvia (DeAngelis) DelFratte in Sharpsville, PA. She graduated from Sharpsville High School class of 1944. Mary worked as a babysitter for Mercer County Christian Women’s Club. On April 14th, 1945 she married the late William G. Peto who passed away February 20th, 1998.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church where she was active in the Altar & Rosary Society. Mary also enjoyed music, cooking, baking, embroidering, and was an oil paint artist. She liked to collect clown figurines, lighthouses, and preparing meals for friends and family. Mary was very proud of her son Bill and his involvement playing the drums in different bands. She would attend when he would play in the community.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Maureen Ball of Ashburn, VA; son, William D. Peto of Hermitage, PA; 2 granddaughters, Jennifer (Tom) Zink and Stephanie Ball, 2 great grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Zink, also 2 brothers, Joseph and James DelFratte. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews whom she was fond of.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Lena Lisi and Antonette Dalbo, 4 brothers, August Sr., Albert, Rocco, and Guy DelFratte.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday October 27th, 2017 6:00 pm at St. Bartholomew Church 311 W. Ridge Ave. Sharpsville, PA with Father Matthew Strickenberger, officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery Hermitage, PA
