Mary DeAngelis Obituary
Mary M. (nee Cardone) DeAngelis age 94 of Medford, NJ and formerly of Sharpsville, PA passed away peacefully July 10th, 2015.
Mrs. DeAngelis was born in Sharpsburg, PA and lived most of her life in Sharpsville, PA. She moved to the South Jersey area 22 years ago. She was an active parishioner of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church in Sharpsville, PA; where she was involved with many committees. She was especially involved in the St. Olivia Society and maintained a lifelong devotion to St. Jude. While she was an avid and talented quilter, her greatest joy was derived through her experiences with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Angela (Tom) Kay of Medford, NJ, JoAnn (James) Filer of Stratford, NJ, and her daughter in law, Judy DeAngelis of Sharpsville, PA. She is also survived by a sister Viola DeMarco of Sharpsburg, PA; grandchildren: Michael DeAngelis, Diana Erb, Jeffrey Kay, Stephen Kay, Nicole Scherer, Ashley Evangelisti, Matthew Filer, Christian Filer; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James DeAngelis and cherished son, John DeAngelis.
Friends may call Sunday July 19th, 2015 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 West Main Street, Sharpsville, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday July 20th, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, 311 W. Ridge Avenue, Sharpsville, PA with Father Matthew Strickenberger, officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Mrs. DeAngelis.
