Martha Gill Obituary
Martha Ann Gill, 83, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 23rd, 2019 at Countryside Convalescent Home in Mercer, PA.
Martha was born on January 12th, 1936 to Thomas and Kate Sloan in Clintonville, PA. She graduated from Clintonville High School. On August 11th, 1995 she married her husband Lawrence I. Gill, who survives at home.
She was a member of South Pymatuning Community Church. She was affectionately known as a homemaker. Martha was also a member of the Hickory VFW post Ladies Auxiliary, New Castle Rock and Gem Club, and Farrell Order of the Eastern Star 156. She enjoyed preparing gems and making jewelry with her husband. She also helped her husband in working on cars in his job as a mechanic.
Martha is survived by her husband Lawrence, son, Michael (Leslie) Rankin of Emlington, PA, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by father, Thomas Sloan, mother, Kate Sloan, and daughter, Debbie (Rankin) Smith.
Friends may call Friday March 1st 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1st 2019 2:00 pm in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Pastor Harley Williams, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Mount Washington Cemetery.
