Margaret Lillian “Peg” Patton, 91, of Juniper Village in Sharon, formerly of South Pymatuning, passed away peacefully on Monday August 15th, 2016 in Sharon Regional Health System.
Margaret was born on April 20th, 1925 to Leda B. and Bessie Mae (Hanlin) Nickel in Clarksville, PA. She attended Hickory High School. On February 4th, 1941 she married the late Edward R. Patton who passed away December 18th, 1996.
She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Sharpsville, where she was very active. Margaret was a member of The Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of 2 card clubs and bowling leagues. Her great love was taking care of her husband. Margaret cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Faith E. Hornick of Sharon, PA; two sons, Edward R. (Patricia) Patton of Sharpsville, PA, Jeffrey W. (Barbara) Patton of Sharon, PA; 7 grandchildren, Jill Massas of Columbus, GA, Edward R. (Susan) Patton of Sharon, PA, Megan M. Patton of Raleigh, NC, Eric (Katie) Patton of Hermitage, PA, Neil (Ashley) Patton of Audubon, PA, Valerie (Devin) Corini of Sharon, PA, Matthew (Jessica) Patton of Sharon, PA, also surviving are 9 great grandchildren, Bradley and Isabella Massas, Zildjian, Luke, Aubrey, Kelyn, Brady, Linnea, Vaughn Patton, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by father, Leda B. Nickel, mother, Bessie Mae Nickel, husband, Edward R. Patton, 6 sisters, Patricia McKnight, Harriet Nickel, Grace Reash, Mary Everett, Betty Hall, Bessie Everett, 5 brothers, Ralph Nickel, Wilbert Nickel, William Nickel, Kenneth Nickel, Wayne Nickel.
Friends may call Friday, August 19th, 2016, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19th, 2016, 12:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA.
Burial will take place in Westside Cemetery.
