Margaret Moderelli Obituary
Margaret V. Moderelli, 89, formerly of Sharpsville, PA, passed away 11:15 am on Wednesday June 24th, 2015 at Grove Manor Nursing Home in Grove City, PA.
Margaret was born on October 8th, 1925 to Nick and Mary (Nodge) Vargo in Butler, PA. She graduated from Grove City High School class of 1944. Margaret worked as a shop office worker for Westinghouse Electric, 40 years until her retirement. On August 25th, 1956 she married the late John Moderelli who passed away March 3rd, 1995.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Sharon, PA. Margaret was an avid Steelers & Pirates fan who also enjoyed horse racing, casinos, and playing bingo.
Margaret is survived by her sister - Isabelle (Clarence) Kirkpatrick of Elyria, OH; brother - James (Sharon) Vargo of Baraboo, WI; also surviving are several nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by father, Nick Vargo, mother, Mary Vargo, husband, John Moderelli, sister, Madeline Kloos, sister, Shirley Sullivan, sister, Mary Emery, sister, Elizabeth Vargo, brother, Nick Vargo, brother, Charles Vargo, and brother Louis Vargo.
Margaret was loved and will be missed by her godchildren Kathy Marshall of Pittsburgh, PA and Major Christopher Masson of Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Friends may call Monday June 29th, 2015 from 10 am to 11 am at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Monday June 29th, 2015 11 am at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Father Thomas Whitman of St. Joseph Church Sharon, PA, officiating.
Burial will take place in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
