Lucy Deal Obituary
Lucy Mary Deal passed away peacefully on July 12, 2014, at the age of 99, in Tampa, FL.
Lucy was born on September 5, 1914 in Hubbard, Ohio to Joseph and Rosaria Pagliaroli. She graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1932 and also from the Sharon Business School.
Lucy worked for Sharon Westinghouse and retired after 33½ years of service.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church Sharpsville, PA and the St. Olivia Society.
Lucy was a past president of the American Business Women’s Association and also a past president of the Sharpsville Firemen’s Auxillary. She was also a volunteer at Sharon Regional Health System.
Some of her hobbies included being an avid bowler and card player. She belonged to three different bowling leagues and two card clubs. She loved to read, work crossword puzzles, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves behind a son George Deal and his wife and her daughter-in-law
(Jo) of Tampa, FL, three grandchildren Tom Deal (Jeanne), Susan Wood, and Janet Zambito – all of Tampa, FL, three great-grandchildren Stephanie Bass (Johnny), Joey Zambito and Jenna Zambito, four step great-grandchildren Jaime Wood, Jr. (Charleston, SC), Philippa Wood, Jamie Grace and Robert Gamble - all of Tampa, FL, three great-great-grandchildren Delaynie Bass, Peyton Bass and Wyatt Gamble - all of Tampa, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George Clifton Deal, her parents Joseph and Rosaria Pagliaroli, her sisters Anna Bonaquist and Mae Pancione and her brother Vincent Pagliaroli.
She often said how lucky she was to have been blessed with such wonderful relatives, friends and neighbors.
Friends may call Thursday July 17th, 2014 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Mass will be offered Friday July 18th, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church Sharpsville, PA with Father Matthew Strickenberger, officiating.
Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
