Louis James Kroack, 85, of Transfer, passed away 1:55 pm on December 4, 2012 in Sharon Regional Health System Sharon, PA following an extended illness.
He was born on March 17, 1927 to Louis and Isabelle (Gourdie) Kroack in Turtle Creek, PA. He attended Grove City High School. Louis served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Louis worked at Westinghouse for 15 years until his retirement. On August 18th 1948 he married his wife Corene Mae Moyer who survives at home.
Louis was a member of the Church of the Brethern in East McKeesport, PA. He was also a member of the American Truck Historical Society. Louis liked model trucks, antique trucks and cars, collecting model cars and trucks, and he also enjoyed fishing.
Louis is survived by his wife Corene, son - Kenneth J. (Shelley) Kroack of Glendale, AZ; sister in law - Patricia A. Kroack of Grove City, PA, grandson - Kenneth Shepherd, and 1 great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by father, Louis S. Kroack, mother, Isabelle Kroack, son, Raymond L. Kroack, sister, Mary E. Nese, brother, Edgar R. Kroack.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 7th, 2012 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012, 2:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Rev. Lee Weber, retired, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Shenango Valley Cemetery Greenville, PA.
