Lois J. Parnell, 66, of Hermitage, passed away on February 2nd, 2017 at Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon, PA.
Lois was born on December 7th, 1950 to John and Rita (McGaughy) Alexander in Erie, PA. She graduated from Mercer High School class of 1968 and the Shenango Valley School of Business with her Associates Degree. Lois worked as a Secretary for Sharon Paving. On October 16th, 1993 she married her husband Michael G. Parnell, who survives at home.
She was excellent at sewing; she also made afghans for every member of her family. Lois enjoyed gardening and tending to her indoor plants. She was treasurer for the Sharpsville High School Band boosters and Girl Scout Leader. Most important to her was attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Michael, 2 daughters, Jennifer L. Rogan-Laird of Sharpsville and Rebecca Rogan-Parnell of Sharpsville. 3 step sons, Michael R. Parnell of Youngstown, OH, Jason C. Parnell of Warren, OH, James D. Parnell of Warren, OH, and 1 brother, Mark (Alma) Alexander of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Gerald L. Rogan, and infant sister Rita Alexander.
Friends may call Monday, February 6th, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7th, 2017, 10:30 am in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Pastor Paul Greggs, officiating.
Burial will take place in Westside Cemetery.
