Lois Geiwitz Obituary

Lois A. Geiwitz, 87, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully 9:00 am on Wednesday November 25th, 2015 in her home.  
  
She was born on April 30th, 1928 to Allen and Gertrude (Seaburn) Ammons in Charlotte, NC. Lois was a homemaker, previous to her marriage she was employed by Trumbull Memorial Hospital and later worked as a housekeeper for numerous valley families. On November 3rd, 1949 she married her husband of 56 years, the late Leon Paul Geiwitz, who passed away July 17th, 2007
  
Lois was known to many as just “Mom”. She was a member of Sharpsville Church of the Nazarene. Lois enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, and reading. She enjoyed and loved her home, cutting the grass, bird watching, and her crossword puzzles. Most importantly, Lois loved spending time with her 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
  
Lois is survived by her 2 daughters - Linda Holliday, Lorraine (John) Gee; son - Larry (Cate) Geiwitz; 2 Grandchildren - Wendy (Shane) Setting, Thomas Paul Holliday; 5 Great Grandchildren - Alexis Pistorius, Austin Pistorius, Ashleigh Pistorius, Lola Holliday, Joseph Holliday; 2 sisters - Patty Sabo and Dolly Klug; also a brother - John Ammons.
  
She was preceded in death by father, Allen Ammons, mother, Gertrude Ammons, husband, Leon Paul Geiwitz, son in law, Thomas Kenneth Holliday, sister, Mary Belden, an infant granddaughter, brothers, Jesse Ammons, Eddie Ammons, and Judson Ammons.
  
Friends may call Friday, November 27th, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA and from 9 am to the time of services on Saturday, November 28th, 2015.
    
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015, 10:00 am in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Pastor Edward Dailey, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Glenwood Cemetery.
