LaVerne (Locke) Mott

LaVerne (Locke) Mott died August 8, 2014 in Lees Summit Missouri at the age of 87.   LaVerne was a long time resident of South Pymatuning Township. She was born September 9, 1926 to Dewey and Gladys (Wise) Locke.  She married the late Chester Eugene Mott on September 21, 1946. He passed away November 30, 1991.

She was a long time employee of JC Penneys at the Shenango Valley Mall, retiring in 1984.  She was very active with her husband, Chester, in the Penn-Ohio Model A Club.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband Chester Mott, daughter Donna Mott, and sister Eleanor Griffiths.

She is survived by son George (Nancy) Mott of Dayton, Ohio, and son Chester R (Connie) Mott of Lees Summit, MO. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Steven (Sarah) Mott, Allison Mott, Kendra Mott, and one great grandchild, Kennedy Mott. LaVerne is also survived by 3 sisters, Arlene Sherwood, Geraldine Dann, and Vivian Moyer.

Friends may call Monday August 18, 2014 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.

Funeral services will begin at 2pm also in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home.
Interment at Westside Cemetery.
