Katherine Patrica Achenbach, 97, of Burghill, passed away 7:30 am on Saturday May 9th, 2015 at John XXIII Nursing Home Hermitage, PA.
She was born on November 20th, 1917 to Michael and Verona (Gencur) Bosko in Youngstown, OH. Katherine was a homemaker. On March 8th, 1941 she married the late Karl Achenbach who passed away May 13th, 2007.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sharpsville, PA. Katherine was a talented seamstress who enjoyed gardening, poultry farming, and traveling. She will always be remembered as a kind, generous, stylish and loving mother.
Katherine is survived by her daughter - Janice (Michael) Bavola of Sharpsville, PA; son - Karl (Dede) Achenbach of Hermitage, PA; 6 Grandchildren - Susan (Michael) Sabol of Denver, CO, Tabitha (Sean) Swick of Chardon, OH, Heather (Mike) Mayhowski of Charlotte, NC, Christine (Tony) Fernandez of Ocala, FL, Kimberly Katherine (Tom) Becker of New Stanton, PA, Brian (Kimberly) Achenbach; 14 Great Grandchildren - Nathaniel, Gwendolyn, Shane, Trevor, Paige, Will, Marissa, Jason, Jake, Lauren, Brooke, Ava, Michael, Mathew; also surviving sister - Marjorie Stulock and brother - Andrew Bosko.
She was preceded in death by father, Michael Bosko, mother, Verona Bosko, and husband Karl Achenbach.
