Juanita Dixon Obituary

Juanita May Dixon, 101, (formerly of Clark), passed away 9:00 am on Monday November 24th, 2014 at White Cliff Nursing Home.  
  
Juanita was born on May 25th, 1913 to Robert R. and Edith G. (Blair) Mounts in Washington, PA. She graduated from New Wilmington High School class of 1931. Juanita worked as Tax Collector for the Clark Boro 1968 to 1970. On June 1st, 1935 she married the late Howard J. Brown who passed away May 5th, 1975. On July 17th, 1976 Juanita married her second husband, the late Harold S. Dixon who passed away December 8th, 1989.
  
She was a member of Clark Trinity United Methodist Church. Juanita was Past Worthy Matron and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Sharpsville #237, later Sharon O.E.S., and was Deputy of O.E.S. and earned her Grand Cross of Color for working with the Rainbow Girls. She was also a charter member of the Clark Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Reynolds VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and many Shenango Valley bowling leagues.  
  
Juanita is survived by her son - Robert R. Brown of Edgewater, FL; step daughter - Margaret LaVan of Sharpsville, PA; step son - Raymond (Rose) Dixon of Bellingham, MA; sister - Ramonia Kerrigan of Strongsville, OH, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, Also surviving are her deceased companion, Mr. McKnight's children: Kathleen M. Jones, Joanne I. McGhee, and Grover C. McKnight.
  
She was preceded in death by father, Robert R. Mounts, mother, Edith G. Mounts, husband, Howard J. Brown, husband, Harold S. Dixon, son, Frank Brown, son, Frederick Brown, son, Howard W. Brown, sister, Virginia Mounts, and brother, Robert T. Mounts.
  
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
    
Friends may call Wednesday November 26th, 2014 from 10 am to 11 am in the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26th, 2014, 11:00 am at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Sharpsville, PA, with Rev. William Locke, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.
  
Memorial contribution may be sent to Clark Trinity United Methodist Church 96 Charles St. Clark, PA 16113, in memory of Juanita.
