Joseph DeJulia, 82, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Monday December 7th, 2015 at his home in Sharpsville, PA.
Joseph was born on December 11th, 1932 to Loretto and Cecelia (Parenti) DeJulia in Sharpsville, PA. He is a lifelong resident of Sharpsville and graduated from Sharpsville High School. Joseph worked as a Bricklayer at Shenango Furnace Inc. for 42 years, until his retirement. On September 22nd, 1956 he married his wife Kathryn "Tina" Lipani at St. Michael Church in Greenville, PA by Msgr. John Keating.
He was a member of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church in Sharpsville, PA where he volunteered his masonry and carpentry talents on many church projects. He enjoyed polka dancing with his wife for many years. Joseph also enjoyed taking walks with his dogs and visiting with neighborhood friends. He loved working in his basement workshop and creating furniture, cabinets, and various crafts.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife Kathryn "Tina" DeJulia at home, son – Dr. Jerome DeJulia of Hollidaysburg, PA; daughter - Cecelia (Jim) DeJulia Berns of Charlotte, NC; brother in law - Jerome Lipani of Greenville, PA; sister in law - Betty DeJulia of Fredonia, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Loretto DeJulia, mother, Cecelia DeJulia, step father, Peter Rosati, brother, Rocky DeJulia, brother, Pete DeJulia, brother, Henry DeJulia, brother, Julius DeJulia, brother, Ray DeJulia, sister, Lena Wiliga, and sister, Ann Dragonne.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 10th, 2015, 10:00 am at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, Sharpsville, PA, with Father Matthew Strickenberger, officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Marys Cemetery.
