Jean L. (Miller) Elekes

Jean L. Elekes, 89, of West Seneca, NY, passed away 3:00 am on Thursday October 16th, 2014 at Mercy Hospital Buffalo, NY.  
  
Jean was born on May 18, 1925 to Henry C. and Mary (Hurley) Miller in Sharpsville, PA. She graduated from Sharpsville High School. Jean worked as a Nurse for Mercy Hospital. She married the late William Elekes who passed away August 27th, 2010. She enjoyed knitting and crochet.
  
Jean is survived by her daughter - Cynthia Lawless of West Seneca, NY; son - William C. (Pamela) Elekes of West Seneca, NY; sister - Mariellen (Ted) Harp of Oroville, CA; 2 brothers - John A. (Carole) Miller of Hermitage, PA, George (Bettie) Miller of Hermitage, PA; 3 Grandchildren - Stephanie (Michael) Prescott, Rachael Elekes, Matthew (Laura) Lawless; and 1 great grandchild - Elise Marie Lawless.
  
She was preceded in death by father, Henry C. Miller, mother, Mary Miller, husband, William Elekes, sister, Alice Marie Shaffer, 4 brothers, Claude Miller, James Miller, William E. Miller, and Robert Miller.
  
Friends may call Saturday, October 25th, 2014 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
    
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2014, 11:00 am in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Ron Elekes, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.
  
Per the family’s request, memorial contributions can be made to the organization of choice, in lieu of flowers.
