Janet Elaine Phillips, 71 of Hermitage, passed away peacefully on October 11th, 2024 with her family at her side.
Janet was born August 29th, 1953 in Sharon, PA to Thelma (Duffy) and Albert Christy. On April 4th, 1979 she married her husband James L. Phillips Jr. who survives at home. Janet worked for many years as a chef for The Mark restaurant in Hermitage though she was most affectionately known as a homemaker to her family.
She was a wonderful mother, and grandmother who adored her grandchildren. Janet not only said, but showed that her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Janet also enjoyed crafting, watching sports, and interior decorating. She was very close to her seven sisters and spent a lot of time with them.
Janet is survived by her son, Alan (Sarah) Hicklin of Sharon, PA, grandchildren, Jude, Kit, Alaina, Bindi, Nealani, sisters, Linda Bowser of Sharpsville, and Cindy Porterfield of Wheatland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dee Dee Hughes, Joyce (Kenny) Graban, Marilyn Taylor, and Karen Esposito.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery
