James W. Stafford of Sharpsville passed away peacefully on Friday September 5th, 2025 in UPMC Jameson Hospital New Castle, PA.
James was born April 11th, 1933 to Shirley (Fustos) and Walter Stafford. James served in the US Army. On November 26th, 1959 he married his wife, the late Edythe O. (Alltop) Stafford who passed away August 15th, 2020. James worked as a teacher for the Brookfield School District.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Sharpsville PA. James enjoyed Cleveland sports, collecting movie posters & music.
James is survived by his daughter, Susan A. Nicklin & husband Paul S. Nicklin-Sharpsville PA, son, Timothy J. Stafford & wife Lorri Stafford-Fairview PA, grandchildren, Jacob S. Nicklin-Sharpsville, Hayli K. Honel-Hubbard OH, Emily Stafford, and Aimee Stafford both of Virginia, great-grandchildren, Winter Rose Nicklin & James Paul Solomon Nicklin-Salem OH, Lucas G. Honel & Lily Ann Honel-Hubbard OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley R. Stafford, sisters, Betty Schuster & Edythe Butala, and brother, William Stafford.
No services will be held at this time.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
