James Ague Sr. Obituary
James E. Ague Sr., 76, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully 2:15 pm, surrounded by his family on September 28, 2012 in UPMC Greenville, PA.
He was born on January 15th, 1936 to Wylie and Bessie (Jones) Ague in Sharpsville, PA. He graduated from Sharpsville High School class of 1955. James worked as a Shipper for Sawhill in Sharon, PA. On June 5, 1956 he married JoAnn Yake who survives at home.
James was a founding member of South Pymatuming Community Church. Beside his family, his church and church family were most important to James. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. James loved making things for his children at Christmas time.
James is survived by his loving spouse JoAnn, 2 daughters - Terri (Joseph) Haggerty of Sharpsville, PA, Patti Ague and her fiancé Kevin Jacobson of Hermitage, PA; 2 sons - James (Loretta) Ague Sr. of Sharpsville, PA, Timothy (Becky) Ague of Sharpsville, PA; grandchildren- Amanda Ealy, Tess Ague; Chad Haggerty, Joshua Ague, Jared Ague, Adam Phillabaum, Brock Phillabaum, Mark Ague; grandchildren - Clarissa Ealy, Kasen Phillabaum, and two more are expected soon. His family was the love of his life and he had a nickname for everyone in the family.
He was preceded in death by father, Wylie Ague, mother, Bessie Ague, brother, Wylie Ague, brother, Raymond Ague, Richard Ague, sister, Lucille Auchater, sister, Louise Zimmer, sister, Julia Clapie, sister, Myltreada Hassell, and infant sister, Rosalee Ague.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 1st, 2012 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012, at 11:00 am at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Pastor Dave Searle, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Westside Cemetery.
