Irma Bucher Obituary

Irma Frances Bucher passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at Saint John the XXIII Nursing Home from an extended illness.
Irma was born on March 10th, 1927 in Dover, OH to Jacob and Julia (Hochdorfer) Linzenbold.
She was a graduate of Sharpsville High School.  As a teenager she worked at Reichert Drug Store and Philadelphia Candies.  She was a stay at home Mom for most of her life and then later on when her children were on their own, she worked at Lawson’s in Sharpsville.
Irma married Donald J. Bucher on December 12, 1947.  He died November 22, 2005.
She was a member of the Sharpsville American Legion Women’s Auxiliary for 67 years and a member of the Sharpsville Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, playing card games and watching sports, especially Penn State football and the Cleveland Indians.  She also loved to play board games with her grandchildren.
Irma will be remembered most of all as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother.  She loved her family and they gave her great joy.
Irma is survived by her son, Dale Bucher and his wife Marie and two daughters Debra Bastress and her husband Richard and Patricia Reddington and her husband Michael; sisters, Jalna Dielman, Helen Broyles and her husband Leo, Delores Bergerson and her husband Gary and her brother William “Ron” Linzenbold and his wife Donna; sister-in-laws, Marilyn Linzenbold, Mildred Bucher, and brother-in-law, John Artherholt.  Also her grandchildren, Leslie Davis and her husband Benjamin, Michele Buell and her husband Matthew, Donald H. Bucher, Matthew Bucher, and his wife Cari, Laura Moser and her husband Jason, 1st Lieutenant Jacob Reddington and his wife Kaitlyn and 1st Lieutenant David Reddington; great grandchildren, Vincent Buell, Isabella Buell, Lily Reddington, Weston Reddington, and Olivia Davis and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elizabeth Bornes, Margaret Buckley, Emily Artherholt and Rose Ferm; brothers, John Linzenbold, Arthur Linzenbold, and Edward Linzenbold; and granddaughter, Anna Reddington.
Irma’s family would like to thank all the nurses, aids, and personnel for their wonderful care and support given to her at Saint John XXII and Sharon Regional Health System Hospice and Palliative Care for their comforting care given to her.

Friends may call Friday February 6th, 2015 from 4pm to 7 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA 16150.
Funeral services will be held Saturday February 7th, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Rev. David Anderson, officiating.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery Sharpsville, PA.
