Helen V. (Scott) Morris

Helen V. Morris, 95, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully 9:00 am on October 24, 2012 in Sharon Regional Health System Sharon, PA.  
  
She was born on November 22, 1916 to Farrious A. and Emma (Landfried) Scott in Transfer, PA. Helen worked as a switchboard operator for Pymatuning Telephone and as a Clerk for Kroger in Greenville, PA. On September 2, 1947 she married Allan Morris who passed away June 5th, 1991.
  
Helen was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Transfer, PA. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
  
Helen is survived by her daughter - Elaine Morris of Sharpsville, PA; son - Jack (Karen) Morris of Greenville, PA; 2 granddaughters - Michelle Morris of Greenville, PA, Tiffany Morris of Greenville, PA, also many nieces and nephews.
  
She was preceded in death by father, Farrious A. Scott, mother, Emma Scott, husband, Allan Morris, brother, Horatio Scott, brother, Howard Scott, brother, Karl Scott, brother, Walter Scott, sister, Margaret Kane, sister, Esther Wilds, and sister, Clara Scott.
  
Visitation will be held Friday, October 26, 2012 - 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm & Friday, October 26, 2012 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
    
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Rev. Mark Oerter of Transfer Zion United Church of Christ, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Transfer Cemetery.
  
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Zion United Church of Christ 17 Church St. Transfer, PA 16154 in memory of Helen.
