Harriett Mae Cerbus- Thompson, 95 of Hermitage passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2025 in Jameson Nursing New Castle, PA.
Harriett was born November 17th, 1929 in Sharpsville, PA to Rebecca (Potter) and David Williams. She was a 1947 graduate of Sharpsville High School and earned her Associates Degree from Kent State University. She worked for many years as a sales associate for Giorgio’s. Harriett also worked many years for Kaufman’s department store.
She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Hermitage, PA. Harriett was a fabulous singer who enjoyed performing around the Shenango Valley. Her and her husband would sing at Covenant Presbyterian together. Harriett was also a voice teacher who made music her life. She was a member of the musical group Not Just Broadway. She especially enjoyed Philadelphia Candies peppermint patties and croquets.
Harriett is survived by her daughters, Heather (Donn) Crum-McConnell of Hubbard, OH, Hollie Hawkins of Michigan, Melody Cerbus of Hermitage, PA, grandchildren, Christopher (Sherry) Wilson, Chad (Kristy) Wilson, Samantha Christoff, and Sarah Christoff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Douglas Thompson, husband, Paul Cerbus, daughter, Cynthia Crum, sister, Patricia Ferenz, and brother, Jack Williams.
Friends may call Friday January 17th, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Crematory 124 W. Main St. Sharpsville, PA 16150.
Funeral services will be held Friday January 17th, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Lew Voisey officiating.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery next to her husband.
