Gertrude Ann (Harakal) Rococi

Gertrude Ann Rococi, 84, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on September 18th, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.  
  
Gertrude was born on December 1st, 1933 to Henry and Rachel A. (Bucholz) Harakal in Farrell, PA. She graduated from Farrell High School class of 1951. On June 6th, 1953 she married her husband, the late Albert J. Rococi who passed away June 20th, 1990.
  
She was an active member of ABWA American Business Women of America, Kiwanian Club of Farrell, PA, and the Mercer County Humane Society. Gertrude enjoyed cooking, ceramics, and taking care of her dogs. Most important to her was spending time with her friends, family and grandchildren.
  
Gertrude is survived by her daughters, Rachel Rococi at home, Ruth (David) Laird of Hilton Head, S.C., granddaughter, Emily Laird, grandson, Mackenzie Shearer both at home, brother, Richard (Paula) Harakal of McColl, S.C., many nieces and nephews, and her puppy Mocha May.
  
She was preceded in death by father, Henry Harakal, mother, Rachel A. Harakal, husband, Albert J. Rococi, and sister, Jean Parshall.
  
Friends may call Sunday September 23rd, 2018 from 11 am to 1:30 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
    
Funeral services will be held on Sunday September 23rd, 2018 at 1:30 pm in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home with Rev. Stacie Pitts, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery.
  
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Sharon Regional Hospice 1955 Shenango Valley Freeway Hermitage, PA 16148, in memory of Gertrude.
