George Weston Obituary
George H. Weston, 75, formerly of Brookfield, passed away 2:30 am on Friday January 30th, 2015 at UPMC Farrell Hospital.
George was born on July 13th, 1939 to Henry and Pearl (Zakan) Weston in Wheatland, PA. From Sharpsville High School he entered the United States Marine Corps in 1957. George worked for General Motors, until his retirement in 2002. George worked for GM, first in Lordstown, OH and later in Shreveport, LA.
He was a member of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church in Sharpsville, PA. George was also a member of the VFW in Sharpsville, PA and Moose Lodge in Farrell, PA. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching football, baseball, basketball, dancing and Sharpsville High School sports. He was a Sharpsville High School football standout.
George is survived by 4 sons - Mike J. Weston of Sharpsville, PA, George P. Weston of Parma, OH, Kenneth Weston of Cleveland, OH, Anthony P. Weston of Howland Township, OH; and sister - Patricia (Lawrence) Reeher of Hermitage, PA, sister in law Christina Weston of Hermitage, PA. Also surviving are 2 nieces and 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Pearl Weston, former wife Patricia A. (Lichvar) Weston, brother, Raymond Weston, brother, Richard Weston and his grandmother Mary Zakan.
Friends may call Wednesday February 4th, 2015 from 12 pm to 2 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday February 4th, 2014 at 2 pm in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home with Deacon Frank Marino, of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
Full military honors will be offered by West Middlesex VFW, Farrell VFW, and Wheatland American Legion.
Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Vascular Stroke Department of Allegheny General Hospital 320 E. North Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
