Frieda M. Miller of Greenville, passed away peacefully with her family and caregivers at her side on January 17th, 2018 in St. Paul Homes. She was 97.
Frieda was born on September 1st, 1920 to Prescott L. and Lillie (Bortz) Diefenderfer in Transfer, PA. She graduated from Pymatuning Township High School class of 1938 and the Shenango School of Business. She worked for Westinghouse Inc. in support of the war effort during World War II. On August 2nd, 1941 she married her husband, the late, Elmer H. Miller who passed away November 18th, 1974. Frieda was a member of the former Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Transfer, PA. In her younger years she grew gladiolas. She was an avid Pirates fan and enjoyed knitting; crocheting, crossword puzzles, and jig saw puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara M. and husband Larry Ruhlman of Erie, PA, Patricia E. Miller and husband Dennis Bohn of Transfer, PA, son, Robert A. and wife Peggy Miller of Greenville, PA, and brother, Ernest and wife Virginia Diefenderfer of Wickenburg, AZ. Also surviving are, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great greatgrandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Kathleen A. Miller, brother Ralph Diefenderfer, sisters, Virginia Cavender, and Doris McCann.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in St. Paul Homes.
Private burial will take place in Americas Cemetery.
The family would like to thank St. Paul’s and Southern Care Hospice who proved there are angels on earth.
