Edith A. (King) Marrie

Edith A. Marrie, 101, of 143 Milliken Ave. Sharpsville, PA, passed away peacefully with family at her side 9:45 pm on Tuesday December 16th, 2014 at Nugent Convalescent Home in Hermitage, PA.  
  
Edith was born on January 16th, 1913 to Robert and Margaret (Murray) King in Wheatland, PA. Edith was a homemaker. On April 1st, 1937 she married the late John “Jack” Marrie who passed away January 30th, 1972.
  
She attended the First Baptist Church in Sharon, PA. Edith enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, crocheting, and reading. She also worked in her father’s grocery store, King’s Grocery in Wheatland, PA.
  
Edith is survived by 2 daughter in laws, Charlotte Marrie, Patricia Marrie both of Sharpsville, PA; 4 grandchildren, Cindy Bosman, Michael Marrie, John Marrie, and Jodi Schuller; 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
  
She was preceded in death by father, Robert King, mother, Margaret King, husband, John Marrie, 2 sons, James E. Marrie, John “Jack” R. Marrie, 5 sisters, Rebecca Chaussard, Ethel Wells, Roberta Sanford, Leona Preston, and Ruth McClusky.
  
Friends may call Friday, December 19th, 2014 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
    
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19th, 2014, 2:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Rev. John Trojak, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Oakwood Cemetery.
