Daniel Swallow Sr. Obituary
Daniel R. Swallow Sr. of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully in his home at 3:30 pm Saturday, October 12th 2013 of natural causes. He was 71.
Daniel was born January 20th, 1942 to Daniel and Helen (Bean) Swallow in Sharon, PA. He graduated from Sharpsville High School class of 1960. In June of 1963 he married the late Judith Sabella who passed away in November, 2004.
Daniel served in the United States Navy as Petty Officer 1st Class from 1960 to 1964. Following his service he worked 19 years at the former Sharon Steel in Sharon, PA. He retired in 2005 as an Ironworker Foreman at WCI Steel Warren, OH.
As an avid sportsman, he spent much of his retired years enjoying the family’s hunting cabin in North Central Pennsylvania.
Surviving Daniel are 4 sons; David A. Swallow, Daniel R. Swallow both of Sharpsville; Scott J. Swallow of Cincinnati, OH; and Michael J. Swallow of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are 3 sisters: Patricia (Dennis) Holder of Las Vegas, NV; Barbara (John) Nelson and Debra Susi, both of Florida; brother in law Bob Belville of California.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judith Ann Swallow, parents, and a sister Sandra Belville.
Per Daniel’s request there will be no services.
