Clyde L. Herrmann, 83, of Brentwood Dr. Greenville, passed away 4:21 pm on Thursday February 20, 2014 in his home following an extended illness.
Clyde was born on September 19, 1930 to Jacob and Sarah A. (Barlett) Herrmann in Sharon, PA. He graduated from Sharpsville High School. Clyde worked 30 years as a Foreman for Sawhill Tubular until his retirement in 1985. On August 18, 1973 he married his wife Barbara A. McGranahan who survives at home.
He was a member of South Pymatuning Community Church where he served as a lay leader. Clyde and Barbara enjoyed a trip to the holy land with their church family in 1983. He loved and served the Lord. Clyde enjoyed many hobbies. Earlier in life he enjoyed roller skating, bowling, hunting, and fishing. He was well known as a master wood carver, sharing many of his carvings with family and friends.
Clyde is survived by his loving spouse Barbara, 3 daughters - Beverly J. (William) Beck of New Bedford, PA, Karen M. (Claude “Rocky”) Paugh of Wheatland, PA, Carol L. (Johnny) Rizk of Boardman, OH; 2 sisters - Multreda Stull of Franklin, PA, Esther Rockwell of Clark, PA; brother - James (Josephine) Herrmann of Sharpsville, PA; 3 Grandchildren - Tamara (Nicholas) Rosenfeldt, Daniel Roqueplot, William Beck and his fiancé Brittany Kitzmiller; 6 Great Grandchildren - Brandon, Abby, Kyle, Caleb, Noah, and John.
He was preceded in death by father, Jacob Herrmann, mother, Sarah A. Herrmann, infant daughter, Janet Marie Herrmann, infant daughter, Cheryl Ann Herrmann, brother, Carl Herrmann, and grandson, David Isaac Roqueplot.
Friends may call Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014, 11:00 am at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Pastor Dave Searle, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.
