Charles E. “Skip” Hunter III, 75, of Sharpsville, passed away 6:39 pm on Thursday September 4, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital Boardman, OH.
He was born on July 30, 1939 to Charles and Sadie (Stafford) Hunter II in Sharon, PA. Charles served 18 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked as a Loader for Damscus Tube Transfer, PA. On October 22, 1961 he married the late Harriet French who passed away December 18th, 2004.
Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was very involved at the First Assembly of God in Hermitage, PA. He was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Wheatland-Farrell, PA.
Charles is survived by his mother Sadie Hunter, 5 daughters - Valerie (Victor) Bernard of Hubbard, OH, Vicki (Jeff) Shultz of Hermitage, PA, Dawn (Rich) Pistoria of Brookfield, OH, Heather (Bill) Melott of Hermitage, PA, Holly (Will) Rager of Long Beach, MS; son - Matthew Hunter of Sharpsville, PA; sister in law - Barbara Hunter of Hermitage, PA; 10 Grandchildren - Timothy Shultz, Jacob Shultz, Sadie Hunter, Ean Hunter, Renee Hunter, Jordan "JJ" James Melott, Billy Rager, Clifford Rager, Alyssa Pistoria, and Madyson Pistoria.
He was preceded in death by father, Charles Hunter II, wife, Harriet Hunter, brother, Michael Hunter, son in law, Keith Gardner, and granddaughter, Victoria Rose Rager.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, 11:00 am at the First Assembly of God in Hermitage, PA
