Carolyn L. Thompson, 81 of Transfer passed away peacefully on Saturday May 2nd, 2026 in Kadima of Greenville Nursing Home Greenville, PA.
Carolyn was born August 19th, 1944 to Edna I. (Dennison) and Harold L. Elliott in Portsmouth, OH. She was a graduate of Sharpsville High School class of 1962. Carolyn worked for McGinnis Brothers as a press operator and for Howard Johnson in Hermitage. On June 5th, 1971 she married her husband, the late Willard A. Thompson who passed away July 4th, 2020. She was a member of the Sharon American Legion 299 and Farrell VFW Post 5286.
She is survived by her nephew, Gary and Anita Tindall Jr., cousin, Cheryl and RJ Lyon and numerous relatives in the Portsmouth, OH area.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard A. Thompson, and brother Gary Tindall.
The family would like to acknowledge and extend a special thank you to Diane Shields and Kenny Robertson for their care, compassion, and everything they did to help Carolyn.
Friends may call Friday May 8th, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home 124 W. Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday May 8th, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Rosa officiating.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery next to her husband.
