Betty Visher Obituary
Betty Melissa Visher, 93, of Sharon, passed away 9:55 pm on Sunday May 3rd, 2015 at Clepper Manor Sharon, PA.
She was born on January 20th, 1922 to Fred and Allene (Hand) Remington in Ashville, NY. Betty graduated from Chautaugua High School and then continued her education at WCA School of Nursing where she graduated in 1950. She worked at WCA Nursing School until she moved to Sharon in 1970. Betty then worked as a Registered Nurse for Cleppers Nursing Home until her retirement. On January 31st, 1970 she married the late Ernest Visher.
She was a member of West Middlesex Wesleyan Methodist Church where she held many offices.
Betty is survived by her 2 nephews - David Remington of Saudia Arabia, Douglas Remington of Siapan; 2 caregivers - Sarah Hazen and Tammy Reid-Gransky, and Judy Winemiller.
She was preceded in death by father, Fred Remington, mother, Allene Remington, husband, Ernest J. Visher, sister, Ruth Remington, brother, William Remington, and step daughter, Georgia Caszatt.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 8th, 2015 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015, 1:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Rev. Gary Winemiller, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Mount Washington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the West Middlesex Wesleyan Methodist Church PO Box 201 West Middlesex, PA 16159 in memory of Betty.
