Betty L. (Newton) Shollenberger

Betty L. Shollenberger, 84, of Hermitage, formerly of Clark, passed away 6:35pm on December 22, 2013 at John XXIII Nursing Home in Hermitage, PA.  
  
She was born on August 26, 1929 to Charles and Alice (Kennedy) Newton in Clark, PA. She graduated from Sharon High School and Beauty School. Betty worked as a Hairdresser for Angela Beauty Salon for 40 years until her retirement. On July 12, 1952 she married the late Carl Shollenberger who passed away January 13th 1988.
  
She was a member of Clark Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of the Rebekka Lodge. Betty was active in various church activities and loved cooking and baking.
  
Betty is survived by her 2 nieces - Karen (Bill) Merchant of Greenville, PA, Christine (Mike) Bodnar of Hermitage, PA; also a sister - Alice E. Beil of Hermitage, PA.
  
She was preceded in death by father, Charles Newton, mother, Alice Newton, and husband, Carl Shollenberger.
  
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home and cremation service, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
    
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013, 3:00 pm at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Rev. William Locke, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.
