Anthony Joseph Erme Sr., 82, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Monday January 1st, 2018 at Sharon Regional Health System.
Anthony was born on August 12th, 1935 to Michael and Mary (O'Brine) Erme in Sharpsville, PA. He graduated from Sharpsville High School class of 1953 and attended Slippery Rock University. Anthony worked, most recently, as a delivery driver for Hovis Supply. In 1951 he married his wife Mary (Dehner) Erme, who survives at home.
He was a member of St. Bartholomew R.C. Church in Sharpsville, PA. Anthony enjoyed golfing and was an avid supporter of Notre Dame athletics and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Mary, daughters, Debbie (James) Cotter Sr., Cindy (William) Caputo, Laurie (Charlie) Bowser, Linda (Ralph) Thomas, sons, Anthony J. Erme Jr., James M (Yulia) Erme Sr., 14 grandchildren, Marc, Tiffany, Jimmy, Lonnie, Patrick, Jennifer, William, Nathan, Jeanette, Jim, Josephina, Ian, Heather, and Quinn. He is known affectionately as “Papa-T” to his 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by father, Michael Erme, mother, Mary Erme, sister, Jean, brothers, Mike, Bill, and Frank.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5th, 2018, 3:00 pm in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, PA, with Father Matthew Strickenberger, officiating.
