Amy Jean (Smith) Fitzgerald

Amy Jean Fitzgerald, 51, of 52 S. Mercer Ave. Sharpsville Pa. passed away at 5:30 pm January 21st, 2021 in the transitional care unit of Sharon Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with kidney disease which included a kidney transplant in 2007.

Amy was born on October 17th, 1969 to James H. Smith and Judith A. Smith-Pence in Greenville, Pa. She attended Reynolds High School and Mercer County Career Center, specializing in food service. She was a member of the former Sharpsville Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she enjoyed helping with many church functions.

Amy married her husband Wayne S. Fitzgerald on June 14th, 2003. She enjoyed going through old photos, playing games on her phone or laptop, and spending time with her family and friends; especially her 3 grandkids and also playing with their dog Spot.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne at their residence, daughter, Tiffany Erickson and her husband Aaron of Cochranton Pa, son Edward “Eddie” Lytle of Sharon Pa, sister, Vickie L. Roby and her companion Dan Gigogne of Hermitage Pa, 2 brothers James A. Smith of Mercer Pa, Joseph A. Smith and his wife Crystal of Greenville, 3 grandkids, Mark, Michael, and Madison Whitman.

Amy is preceded in death by her mother, Judith A. Smith-Pence, aunt, Patrica Henretty, both sets of grandparents, father in law, Bishop W. Samuel Fitzgerald, sister, Susan Redmond, and infant brother, Ronald Smith.

Memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Amy.

Amy's wishes were to be cremated and have a memorial service, which will be held Saturday May 22nd, 2021 at 1:00 pm, 240 Church St. Sharpsville, PA 16150
