I am so sad to hear this news.  I bought a couple things from him over the years...and liked him so much my girlfriends and I went back just to visit him.  Loved listening to his stories.  And he knew where every single piece of furniture came from, what he did to repair it and how much it cost.  He could get in and out of those trailers better than we could!  He made us get in the car, just to cross the road and although it was a short ride, it was an unforgettable one!  I'm so sorry for your loss, but I picture him peaceful, in a rocking chair, having a wonderful conversation with his loved ones.  :)

To all the family of David and Jim...we are so sorry to learn of your family's loss of brother, father, husband, grandfather.  To lose 2 members of your family within such a short time of each other is heartbreaking.  Although we did not know Jim very well, we always enjoyed our time with him when together.  We remember David fondly from the time spent over the years as members at First Pres. Church in Greenville.  He willingly gave time and talents to the managing of the church and the music program as well.  His easy manner and thoughtful ways were always a positive addition to any conversation whether in church or at his beautiful Shadow Lawn farm.  We know he will be missed by many but his long and full life will always be a testament to a life lived for God.

I admired Mr Woods. Sorry I couldn't make it the calling hours.
