Andrew Raiti, 90, of Greenville, passed away peacefully on Monday July 17th, 2017 at home in Greenville, PA.  
  
Andrew was born on January 23rd, 1927 to John and Sophia (Bedzila) Raiti in Youngstown, PA. He attended Sharpsville High School. Andrew was a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He served aboard the USS Leyte and the USS Coral Sea in maintenance of the Corsair aircraft. Andrew worked for Greenville Steel Care and as a painter for General American. On December 30th, 1950 he married his wife Dolores M. Shields, who survives at home.
  
He was a member of St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage, PA. Andrew was involved and enjoyed sprint car racing at local tracks. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
  
Andrew is survived by his loving wife Dolores Raiti, daughter, Patricia A. (Dale) Johnson of Transfer, PA; son, Andrew James Raiti, Jr. of Greenville, PA; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
  
He was preceded in death by father, John Raiti, mother, Sophia Raiti, brothers, Chuck, Mike, John, George, Frank, sisters, Mary, Ann, and Sophie.
  
Friends may call Wednesday, July 19th, 2017, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, 124 Main St. Sharpsville, PA.
    
A Panachida prayer service will be held Thursday, July 20th, 2017 at 1:15 pm in the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home.

Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday, July 20th, 2017, 1:30 pm in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church Hermitage, PA, with Father Kevin Marks, officiating.
  
Burial will take place in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Cemetery with full military honors.
  
Arrangements entrusted to the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Dear Dolores and family,
So sorry to read in the paper this morning that your loving Andy has passed away. I know he was the greatest in your life. He was the best husband and dad.

To Mary Ann [Raiti Lettieri], Betty [Raiti Zombar], and Donna [Maykowski O'Neill] and families:
Heartfelt condolences from the classmates of SHS '64 to all of you at the passing of your beloved Andrew Raiti. The loss of a loved one is always difficult, but take comfort in knowing that his long-time suffering is at an end. He is now standing his final Marine duty post at the gates of heaven.
